Description:

Many organizations who are open and supportive of LGBTQIA+ people still unintentionally participate in thoughtless, discriminatory, or even oppressive practices in the day-to-day operation of their work. Making changes to be a more mindful, inclusive, and empowering place to work and seek services will help your organization in terms of morale and retention.

Learning Objectives:

  • Utilize simple, easy-to-use strategies to open a dialogue and promote conversation around issues of sexuality

  • Learn to be ‘sex-positive’ in your workplace

  • Prioritize supported decision-making

  • Anticipate problems and respond with moderation

  • Understand how to invite conversations and get curious

  • Build ‘safer spaces’

Continuing Education Credits:

  • Approved for CEUs for Oregon Foster Care and Long-Term Care Providers

Available Formats:

  • Fast Track (1.5 hours) - between 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm PT

  • Half Day (3 hours) - between 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm PT

  • Full Day (6 hours) - 9am-4pm PT with an hour lunch
