Cristina Lopez

Behavior Services Professional

Hello! My name is Cristina Lopez. I am a Behavior Professional with Among Friends, LLC.  Prior to coming to Among Friends, I worked as a supervisor in residential care for migrant youth and have 10 years of experience working in the field.  I am currently working towards my Masters Degree in Psychology and have extensive cultural competency training and crisis training.  One of my favorite things about this work is having the opportunity to witness a client’s progress and healing.

I am originally from San Luis Potosi, Mexico. I moved to the US when I was 7, but hope to be back some day.  In my free time, I am a bit of a "hobby hoarder"! I enjoy reading, working with clay, and creating collages.  My absolute favorite book is the Four Agreements- I wish I could give a copy to everyone I meet!  One of my favorite things to do is to spend time with my family over meals from my culture.  I also like to travel.  I recently traveled to Puerto Rico! I loved the community and kindness that was extended towards me in the form of food, good conversations, and smiles.

I love this work and the nuance in all we do.  I would be honored to work with you and am looking forward to helping you create a better life.
