Behavior Services Professional

Greetings! My name is Rudy Hansen. I am a Behavior Professional with Among Friends, LLC and an Independent OIS (Oregon Intervention Systems) Instructor. I have over 18 years working in the field, both as a Behavior Professional and a Personal Support Worker for children and adults who experience intellectual and developmental diversity. I am also a tier 2 sexual health advocate.  One part of this work that I am most proud of is when the people I support feel safe.  Mostly, I am proud of them.

I am originally from Minnesota and came to Oregon exploring.  In my free time, I like to dance, bike, and play with my son, Liew.  I also enjoy reading, running with my dog and spending time in nature.  I've traveled a lot in my life. All the states and 6 countries. I biked from Providence, Rhode Island to San Francisco, California. Every time I travel I am reminded that life is, indeed, magical.

I have been very blessed to have had mentors that have inspired me that were themselves fully and had capacity to help others see themselves/their capabilities fully.  That is a goal I work toward and will do my best to be that for you, if you choose to work with me.

Get to Know Rudy

  • I like to dance, bike, play with my son, run with my dog, read, and see ALL THE THINGS IN NATURE.

  • I have a pup named Arrow, he is named after the dog in The Point!

  • I live amongst many MANY plants. My goal is to have a home like a jungle!

  • I have one son named Llew. He is six. He is silly, has the most elegant gestures, loves reading more than me, and is the kindest soul I know.

  • I am originally from Minnesota! I came here exploring.

  • I am an introvert so I was very happy to stay home or outside with my dog and to have more time with my son. Quarantine permanently changed how I view work and its impact on my family.

  • I’ve traveled a lot in my life. All the states and 6 countries. I biked from Providence, Rhode Island to San Francisco, California. Every time I travel I am reminded that life is, indeed, magical.

  • The Lilith Fair… I cannot recall my age.

  • One of my favorite authors currently is Haruki Murakami. I couldn’t say why and I think that’s why I like him so much!

  • Anything my auntie Annie makes is my favorite because it reminds me of my childhood.
