Levi Blessum (he/him)

Positive Support Professional

In Washington

Hello! My name is Levi, and I am passionate about supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to experience dignity, autonomy, and meaningful belonging in their communities.

Over the past decade, I have served in a variety of roles across disability services, including Direct Support Professional, Training & Program Supervisor, and Advocacy Event Coordinator. These experiences have allowed me to develop a strong foundation in person-centered support, staff coaching, and collaborative team partnership while remaining grounded in trauma-informed and evidence-based practices.

My journey in advocacy began during my time at community college, where I volunteered to help create inclusive campus events and expand disability awareness initiatives. I continued this work throughout university by designing and facilitating trainings and events focused on inclusion, self-advocacy, and community engagement. Following graduation, I spent several years in direct support and supervisory roles, partnering closely with individuals, families, and support teams to promote meaningful skill development, autonomy, and quality of life.

In my current role, I work alongside individuals and their teams to create environments rooted in safety, respect, and authentic connection. I believe that growth is most sustainable when individuals feel understood, empowered to explore identity and preferences, and supported in defining what a meaningful life looks like for them. My approach centers on curiosity, collaboration, and honoring each person’s unique strengths and lived experience.

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, playing Dungeons & Dragons, reading, gaming, writing short stories, and spending time with friends and family across the Pacific Northwest. I recently relocated to Spokane to be closer to loved ones and am grateful to be part of this community.

I approach this work as an advocate, collaborator, and lifelong learner, continually growing alongside the individuals and teams I have the privilege to support.
