Individual Advocacy & Consultation
Overview:
Our Advocacy and Consultation Services are designed to offer support, strategies, information, tools and guidance regarding social-sexual matters, such as: problematic or risky sexual behaviors, sexual or relational trauma, the need for sexuality education, consent and boundaries, healthy relationships, and much more!
With this option, we can tailor our behavior services to what you/your client/your loved one need(s) most and set the time and/or cost limits to suit your specifications.
These services could look like:
1:1 coaching sessions between you and one of our staff to address issues you want to work on.
Support from one of our staff members as an advocate for you at a meeting at your school, work, or faith community regarding a situation or topic you need help with.
Consultation from one of our staff members with you and/or your team on issues or incidents you’re dealing with.
Service Delivery:
Available to Anyone Via Zoom or Phone
Fee:
$120 per hour; minimum of 1 hr; billed in ½ hour increments after the first hour.
The supported person’s team will need to identify & secure the funding source. These services are usually paid by an organization’s discretionary funds, or out-of-pocket by a family or the individual.
Some reduced rates are negotiable for financial hardship.
Among Friends, LLC is not able to take insurance at this time.

Professional / Provider Consultation
Overview:
This option is designed to offer on-going, intermittent consultation to professionals and provider organizations for a reduced rate.
Service Delivery:
Available to Professionals or Provider Organizations, Government Departments, and other Community Partners Via Zoom or Phone
Fee:
Packages of 5 hours = $550 ($110/hr; must be used within 6 months)
Monthly Subscription (min. of 6 months)
2 hours per month = $180
3 hours per month = $270
4 hours per month = $360
5 hours per month = $450
These services are usually paid for by an organization’s discretionary funds.

Positive / Behavior Services
Positive Support Services - Among Friends is Restructuring
We are undergoing a business restructure here at Among Friends. We are becoming two separate agencies that will work side by side to provide the services we are so passionate about!
Shanya will continue providing trainings and private pay consultation (anywhere) through Among Friends. She will focus on working with parents and teams to build capacity; teaching them how to assist individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Diversity in living their best lives.
Cara is in the process of opening a new agency, Pathway to Common Ground. It will also provide private pay consultation (anywhere) and Medicaid funded positive support services in Washington. It will be opening in the Fall of 2026, and we will add the contact information as it becomes available.
