Hi.  My name is McKay, and I am part of the Among Friends administrative team.  I support our Training program and our Washington State Positive Supports program. 

I wear many hats and bring intention and care to every one of them. I am a proud mom to five amazing kids and have been with my husband, Myles, for over 14 years. Myles is the Washington State Program Director for Among Friends.  For the past eight years, I have worked from home as a literacy advocate while also being a stay-at-home mom. 

My lived experience as a parent of a child with intellectual and developmental disabilities, combined with my husband’s passion for advocacy, naturally led us to Among Friends.  We are both guided by a consistent purpose: to identify individual needs, collaborate on thoughtful, person-centered plans, and support individuals and their teams every step of the way. I am excited and honored to be part of a team that centers on dignity, belonging, and meaningful support.
