Miranda Rodriquez (she/her)
Positive Support Professional
In Washington
Hi there! My name is Miranda Rodriguez. I bring over 10 years of experience working alongside children, families, and individuals in behavioral support settings. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Justice Studies in 2016. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of environments, including schools, private homes, group homes, and community-based programs, which has enabled me to develop a well-rounded, adaptable approach to care.
In my role as a Positive Support Specialist with Among Friends, I support individuals with complex needs by helping navigate relationships, boundaries, and social development in ways that are person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. I am passionate about creating supportive, respectful environments where individuals feel heard, valued, and empowered to advocate for themselves.
I was born and raised in San Diego, California, and spent many summers visiting family in Missouri. In late 2024, I relocated to the Pacific Northwest and am excited to continue this work and build connections within my new community. In my free time, you can find me fishing, spending time with my boyfriend and family, or taking my three pups on outdoor adventures.
I believe that every person deserves to be treated with dignity, kindness, and patience, and I strive to build meaningful connections that foster trust, growth, and a sense of belonging. I look forward to working with you.
