We are undergoing a business restructure here at Among Friends. We are becoming two agencies - two “arms” of the same mission, allowing each of us to focus on the services that we specialize in. 

Shanya will continue to offer trainings and consultation through Among Friends. Cara will continue to offer Medicaid funded Positive Support Services in Washington and private pay services anywhere through her new agency, Pathway to Common Ground. 

Although Cara wishes she could also transition the Oregon Behavior Services Program to the new agency, it is simply not possible at this time. This means that Among Friends will be wrapping up with clients and concluding Medicaid Behavior Services in Oregon between by October 31st, 2026. Any client who wishes to transition to private pay will be welcome to do so.

We are excited for what is to come. We will still be connected and we’ll be moving forward as “sister agencies”. We want to thank you for partnering with us to support healthy relationships and healthy sexuality!
