Tier 1: FOUNDATIONS
Day 1
Welcome Back Activity - What Body Part Am I?
Standard Instructions for All Activities:
Choose one person who will read these instructions for the group. And choose one person to be your group’s spokesperson for this activity when you come back to the main room to share with the larger group.
If you have trouble understanding these instructions, have one group member go back to the “main room” to ask the facilitators for help.
You will get a one-minute warning to come back to the “main room”. If you don’t do anything, you will automatically be brought back to the large group after the one-minute warding has expired.
Specific Instructions for This Activity:
Choose someone to be your team’s spokesperson for this activity when you come back to the main room to share with the larger group who has not done it before.
Each member of your group received 1 internal and 1 external body part related to sexuality and/or reproduction. (do not tell each other your words!)
Each member of the group will take turns being in the “spotlight” for a round of questions. Decide which member of your group will be in the “spotlight” first.
The goal is for the rest of the group members to try to guess the body parts assigned to the spotlight.
- Each round will start with the external body part. Each member of the group can ask the spotlight ONLY ONE (1) YES or NO question. After they ask their question, they can try to guess the spotlight’s assigned body part. (just remember, there isn’t much time, so ask and answer your questions quickly!)
- After everyone has asked their one question and guessed, the spotlight can share what their body part was.
After everyone is done asking their questions about the external body part - whether or not the group guesses correctly - then move on to the internal body part for the same spotlight.
After trying to guess the internal and external body parts for one participant (the first spotlight), then a new person in the group becomes the spotlight until the time is up.
You will have a one-minute warning when time is wrapping up.
