Tier 2: Weekly Schedule

Tier 2: Attendance/Completion Policy

  1. If a participant completes every task for Tier 2 there are a total of 250 points available, plus up to 10 points of extra credit.

  2. Each participant must earn a minimum of 220 points to receive a certificate of completion for Tier 2, and to be eligible for Tier 3. This means that you can only miss 30 points for Tier 2 if you want to move on to Tier 3. If you don’t plan or want to go on to Tier 3, then the points do not apply to you.

  3. If you do not earn 220 points, you will receive a certificate of attendance for the time you attended but will not be eligible for Tier 3.

  4. You can see how many points each item is worth on the master completion checklist.

  5. If you miss a Cohort Zoom Call, you can earn the points back 2 times by completing the make-up work located in your hand-out folder. If you miss more than 2 Cohort Zoom Calls, you cannot make up the points from the additional missed calls.

  6. Late work will only receive half credit. No work will be accepted after Cohort Zoom Call #10.

The following guiding principles are integral to the philosophy of our program. To receive a certificate of completion, program participants must agree to uphold these principles and practice in a manner consistent with these principles. These principles are adapted from the Our Whole Lives curriculum.

Statement of agreement: As a participant in Tier 2 of the Sexual Self-Determination Training and Certification Program, I agree to the following principles and will uphold and practice these to the best of my ability:

● Every person is entitled to dignity and self-worth

● Every person is entitled to their own attitudes and beliefs

● Every person deserves support in making their own decisions

● Every person deserves to be in safe, healthy relationships. Healthy relationships are:

o Consensual

o Non-exploitative

o Safe

o Developmentally appropriate

o Based on mutual expectations and caring

o Respectful

● Every person is entitled to fully explore their sexuality, relationships, and their body

● Every person is sexual and sexuality is a positive part of the human experience

● Sexuality includes much more than sexual behavior(s)

● Human beings are sexual from the time they are born until they die

● Sexuality in our society is damaged by violence, exploitation, alienation, dishonesty, abuse of power, and the treatment of persons as objects.
